Snowman Olive Cheeseball

Makes 10-12 servings.

For cheeseball:

  • 2 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 3/4 cup green olives, chopped
  • 1/3 cup red onion, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 1/3 cups shredded cheddar cheese

To decorate:

  • Pretzel sticks or rosemary stems for arms
  • Tip of carrot for nose
  • Olives, capers or peppercorns for eyes and buttons
  • Zucchini top for hat
  • Thinly sliced zucchini for scarf
  • Pimento or red bell pepper for smile

Stir together cream cheese, olives, onion, garlic powder and pepper until well-combined. Stir in cheddar cheese. Form into two balls, making the bottom larger with a flat bottom for stability. Cover in plastic wrap and refrigerate until time to serve (cheeseball can be made two days in advance). Place smaller (head) ball on top of larger ball. Decorate as desired. Serve with crackers.
