This class will allow for students of any level to grow their skills in pottery. David will share the fundamental skills in both wheel-throwing and hand building. This workshop focuses on clay forming techniques and is customized to each student’s interests. Hand building instruction will include pinch pots, coil pots and slab construction. Wheel-throwing techniques for creating bowls, mugs, cylinders, and altered wheel forms will be demonstrated as well. The finishing processes of trimming, and adding spouts, handles, and lids will also be covered. Instructor David Dahlstedt provides individual coaching, directed toward the student’s skill level. The class is appropriate for beginners, intermediate and advanced. This class also includes studio access for the duration of the class, allowing students to come in on their own time to pursue projects.
October 11, 18, 25, Nov,. 1, 8, 15, (Thursday 11/22 -Thanksgiving), Nov. 29 and Dec. 6.
