In recognition of National Child Abuse Awareness Month, BRTC will hold a Child Abuse Awareness Event Thursday, April 28, 2022, at 12:30 pm in the Administration Building Lobby at its Pocahontas campus.
Guest speakers will be Amy Harris, CASA Advocate Coordinator and Shawnie Wilson, NEA Children’s Advocacy Center Executive Director and a Pinwheel Garden Ceremony in which pinwheels will be planted in remembrance of the many innocent lives lost as a result of child abuse will follow. The pinwheel garden also serves as a symbol of our commitment to preventing child abuse and providing a great childhood for ALL our children.
So, come wearing blue, and bring your friends and families too. It’s time we take a stand against all forms of child abuse in our state and in our great nation!
