Village Creek State Park is hosting an event on November 17th called Choctaw Day. This event is in partnership with the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma and is free to the general public. The event will start at 9 am that Saturday and run until 3 pm that afternoon. There will be up to 10 different programs happening that day including Stickball, Weaponry, Basket Weaving, and Social Dancing just to name a few. We invite the public to come and enjoy the culture of one of the Native American tribes that walked the Trail of Tears running through our park. For more information, call Village Creek State Park at (870) 238-9406. The park is located just six miles southeast of Wynne.
