This family-friendly event is free and open to the public. The crawfish boil starts Friday, May 3 beginning at 5:30 p.m. Crawfish and the fixings will be served in the parking lot at 617 Clinton Street in downtown Arkadelphia. Advance boil tickets are $25 and are available now at Southern Bancorp- Main Street, Winner’s Circle, and the Arkadelphia Area Chamber of Commerce office. Tickets include 3 pounds of fresh-boiled crawfish served up with potatoes, corn, and a drink. Carry out orders will also be available for crawfish. Sodexo Catering will be preparing the spicy delicious crawfish and fixings.
The evening will feature a crawfish eating contest, live entertainment from Big Shane Thornton starting at 5pm. Ending the night will be the Zac Dunlap Band sponsored by Southwest Auto Collection. Other activities include the Crawfest Baggo Tournament sponsored by Southwest Sporting Goods, Gossip Shop Salon & Boutique Kid’s Play Zone and much more. On Saturday, May 4, CASA of Clark and Pike County will host the Crawfish Crawl 5k and 10k. At the end of these races you can enjoy the Southern Bancorp Andy Allison Super Kids Run on Main Street.
Downtown Crawfest t-shirts are $15 and available sizes are adult S-2XL and youth S-XL. These shirts are great for casual Fridays and are also a fun way for you to show your support for Downtown Crawfest. Stop by or call the Chamber office at 2401 Pine Street, Suite B to pre-order yours today.
