The fourth annual India Fest will attempt to bridge cultures, generations and communities through one-day of togetherness. It is a day when people of one great nation – USA will be encouraged to participate in a colorful display of rich culture and diversity of another great nation – India.
When: 11AM to 5PM on Sunday, 23rd September 2018
Where: First Security Amphitheater/River Market Pavilion.

Organizers: The Festival is organized by Indiafest, a not for profit organization, and is supported by Friends of India and various regional Indian organizations.
Mission: The mission of India Fest is to bring to Arkansas the richness of the culture of India by showcasing food, art (dances, songs, instrumental music, fashion shows), and artefacts from India.
Highlights from 2017:
Food- 21 different food items, 5 types of desserts and multiple drink items.
Events- 43 events including dances, songs, instrumental music and fashion show, showcasing the culture of India. Around 250 individuals of all ages including a large contingent from North West Arkansas performed in these events.
Stalls- Vendors sold Indian clothes, jewelry and handicrafts. Henna tattoo and sarees draping stalls with pictures taken against the background of the Taj Mahal, one of the architectural wonders of the world. Educational stall where people could learn about and play Indian musical instruments.
What to expect: This will be a wonderful opportunity to indulge your taste buds in the authentic “Taste of India” Food Fest. There will be exhibitions that showcase prodigious talents, expose you to the admirable work of non-profits and let you purchase unique merchandise from India.
