The Madison County Extension Homemakers Council will be conducting a Chili Cook Off in conjunction with the Veterans Day Celebration. Entry for the Cook Off is $10. Each contestant will bring their prepared chili to the park in a crockpot (4 quart minimum). All entries must be checked in between 10:30-11:00am in which judging will begin. Entries will be submitted to the judges anonymously in provided containers. The public is invited to “test” out the chili by buying tickets for $1 which can be cashed in for a serving of chili. Drinks will be available for sale as well as other concessions for those not brave enough to test chili! Awards will be announced at 1:00pm.
