The Warfield Concert Series is proud to bring the world’s most beloved choir to Helena, Arkansas. The Vienna Boys Choir will perform at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 625 Pecan Street on Tuesday, February 7th at 7:30 pm. Boys have been singing at the court in Vienna since the 14th century. In 1498, more than half a millennium ago, Holy Roman Emperor Maximilian I moved his court and his court musicians to Vienna. The Vienna Boys Choir has been associated with many of the world’s great composers, including Mozart and Bruckner; Franz Schubert himself was a chorister. The choir’s repertoire includes everything from medieval to contemporary and experimental music. Their concerts have thrilled both young and old for over 500 years!
This concert is free to the public and is made possible by a donation from the Delta Cultural Center. For ticket information visit www.warfieldconcerts.com. For more information, call the Phillips County Chamber of Commerce at 870.338.8327.
