Ingredients
- 2 stalks celery chopped
- 1 onion minced
- 1 carrot minced or grated
- 2 strips bacon finely diced
- 1 3-4 oz. oz. can mushrooms diced
- 1 green pepper minced
- 1/2 teaspoon monosodium glutamate
- 1/2 teaspoon celery flaked
- 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon sage
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire
- 1 cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup dry bread crumbs
- 1 lb lean ground beef
Servings: people
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients except beef, mix well; let stand 30 minutes to 1 hour.
- Add beef, mix thoroughly. Spoon into 8 x 5 x 3 loaf pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
- If desired,top with 1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce for last 15 minutes of baking.
