Ingredients
1 pound ground turkey or beef
1 large yellow onion, chopped
2 teaspoons garlic, minced
3 teaspoons smoked paprika
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1 (15-ounce) can tomato sauce
1 cup beef broth
1 cup chicken broth
1 cup elbow pasta, uncooked
Directions
Heat a deep skillet with a tight-fitting lid over medium heat; when it’s hot, add ground turkey or beef and onion. When meat is almost cooked through, stir in garlic, smoked paprika, oregano, salt and cumin, and cook for a few minutes. Add tomato sauce and both broths and bring to a boil. Once boiling, add pasta and cook for 5 minutes. Stir. Reduce to a simmer, cover with lid, and cook for 10-15 minutes or until pasta is tender. Stir periodically so pasta doesn’t stick.
