Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 teaspoon ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon allspice
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 egg beaten
- 1/2 cup sorghum
- 1/4 cup melted butter

Instructions
- Sift all dry ingredients together and set aside.
- Combine all wet ingredients, mix well.
- Add the dry ingredients until all mixed together. Bake in greased and floured 8-inch square pan. Bake at 350 F for 35-40 minutes.
- Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.
