Since the Arkansas 4-H SeaPerch Challenge launched in 2016, the Electric Cooperatives of Arkansas have proudly supported the program, helping students across the state design, build and compete with underwater remotely operated vehicles (ROVs).

The 2026 International SeaPerch Challenge took place May 30-31 at the University of Maryland, with 210 teams from six countries. Six Arkansas teams delivered strong performances at the international competition:

  • Deep Water Vanguard (Grant County 4-H, Sheridan), second place – High School Stock Class.
  • HydroRappers (Grant County 4-H, Sheridan), third place – Middle School Stock Class.
  • Aquanauts (Grant County 4-H, Sheridan), fifth place – Open Class.
  • Disco Dolphins (Grant County 4-H, Sheridan), sixth place – Middle School Stock Class.
  • Three Dudes and a Robot (Grant County 4-H, Sheridan), ninth place – High School Stock Class.
  • The Rolling Stokes (Madison County 4-H, Huntsville), 24th place – Open Class.
