The Arkansas General Assembly passed a resolution proclaiming April 21 as Lineworker Appreciation Day.
Arkansas lineworkers from different companies were recognized at the Arkansas Capitol for their professionalism and dedication to keeping the lights on for Arkansans.
“The Electric Cooperatives of Arkansas lineworkers are true professionals who are dedicated to ensuring that our members have reliable electric service,” said Arkansas Electric Cooperative Corporation/Arkansas Electric Cooperatives, Inc. President/CEO Vernon “Buddy” Hasten. “Today and every day, these brave individuals are always appreciated.”
