- 1 prepared pie crust
- 1 1/3 cups sugar
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 3 large eggs, beaten
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Heat oven to 350.
Place pie crust in deep-dish pie pan.
In a large bowl, stir together sugar and flour; beat or stir in butter. Add buttermilk, eggs, lemon juice, vanilla extract and nutmeg, and mix until combined. Pour into pie crust.
Bake for 50-60 minutes. Allow to cool for 2 hours, and refrigerate for 2 hours before serving.
