Ingredients
- 1/2 cups cornmeal
- 3/4 cups flour
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs
- 2/3 cup oil
- 1 cup cream-style corn
- 3/4 cup onion, minced
- 1 medium bell pepper, diced
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 4 jalapeño peppers, diced
- 1 cup grated cheese
Directions
- Heat oven to 325.
- In a large bowl, mix all ingredients together until
- combined. Pour into a skillet or baking pan. Bake for 1 hour.
Note: This was my grandmother’s (Martha Garrison) recipe. She would have been 105 this year.
